Silk Press? Issa bad Idea
So just answer this .. What was the point of going natural ? Recently I joined a “natural hair” Facebook group ( who shall remain nameless) full of what I thought would be black women with kinks coils and curls showing off, giving tips and celebrating our nappy roots. For the first month ,all I saw were the “admins” of the page , giving weird (bad tips for 4C 4B girls) advise and showing off their 3B curls and sharing coupons for the most over priced hair products. Then I started to notice that more 4C 4B girls starting to show their hair and sharing tips. So I chimed in here and there , not tying to sell my shit but giving suggestions like L.C.O (LOC for some ). One 4C queen was pondering a silk press. Now Im not against heat in moderation, but If I wanted bone straight hair , then what was the point of going natural?
We as natural kinky coily women know the hard work that must be put in every day in order for Miss Fro to get right! Moisturize, detangle (by hand most often) , wash day…OMG don’t get me started on wash day! Twisting, untwisting ,braiding, deep conditioning. steaming, stretching.. All that hard work put in , and for what ? For silky straight hair?! Hell to the Naw! Why take yourself back to split ends, breakage and heat damage? When we went natural we knew that this shit was not going to be easy. We knew the nighttime rod set routine would take strong arms , and a tutorial.

Am I against changing it up? Nope . I love my collection of lace fronts. Some are kinky in texture , and some are straight. They are easy to style, low maintenance , and they give variety to my look .I am able to put my own hair away for a day or two, and no kinks will be harmed . .Won’t he do it?
